Hi, I stumbled on the "big fellow" around 1997 and have been unable to get him or his life out of my head since. Mandatory reading and believe me ive read it all is The Lost Leader by Margery Forestor-hard going but worth it. Probably the best though is Tim Pat Coogans Michael Collins which got me hook line and sinker. I have some impressive stills which i can post especially some out of his free state uniform which are obviously limited due to his anonmous lifestlye during the anglo-irish war.
Read all you can about the man, he was truly a great man. The saddest thing is that after his death (which no blame can be attributed-he died in action regardless of what people would have you believe)is that not one border was re-drawn,not even to this day.

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <whitten@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.despammed.com> would become <whitten@despammed.com>.
